Get your Passports Ready to Travel

Just a few days ago I was able to finally obtain my passport. As you know the ASPMA Board will be headed to The APMA Annual Scientific Meeting, which will be held in Toronto, Canada on July 30th -August 2nd, 2009.

I am very excited to attend this meeting, for it is one of the largest Podiatry conferences in the United States. This year the meeting will be held in Canda, and I will be looking forward to meet Podiatric Medical Assistants from Canada and find out what it is like to work in the field of Podiatry in their Country.

As you may know the role of a podiatric medical assistant is different from state to state here in the USA. So I am sure it will be very fascinating to see what the Canadian Podiatric Medical Assistants’ role is in a medical office.

If you are attending the meeting this is an amazing oportunity to get to interact with other assistants who are passionate about podiatry. Make sure to also visit the vendor’s hall and learn about all the products they offer.

Hope to see you all on July 30th in Toronto, Canada. For more information about this meeting visit: http://www.apma.org/Members/Events/TheNational.aspx

Best Regards,

Understanding Metatarsalgia

ap

Metatarsalgia

“In each foot, five metatarsal bones run from your arch to your toe joints. The first metatarsal is shorter and thicker than the other four bones, which are usually similar in size. During the push-off phase when you walk, jump or run, your body weight is transferred to your toes and metatarsals. The first and second metatarsal bones take the brunt of this force.”   Read more…

adidas_1How to Choose the Best Running, Athletic or Sports Shoes
