Sandra Lohrentz, PMAC will be remembered in our hearts and lives forever. Losing Sandra suddenly on February 24, 2009 marked the end of her twenty year commitment as ASPMA’s Executive Director, and thirty five year commitment to ASPMA. After working in the same Podiatric practice for 54 years, Sandra will be missed by her peers, friends and patients.
As President of ASPMA, I can speak for our current and past board members that Sandra was a unique and special person. I became a member of the Executive board in August 2004 at our Annual Meeting in Boston. It also happened to be ASPMA’s 40th Anniversary and there were many photos from years gone by of the association and its board members. Sandra was always a wealth of information and the epitome of organization. She made it her point to know you and you easily got to know her. She stood for strength and neutrality over the years and she always had a big heart for listening. No matter what you brought her way, she could help you resolve it with just a few words.
We will all miss our conversations and meetings with Sandra, but her knowledge and wisdom live on in all of us. Sandra had been an integral part of many new changes that will be coming to our association as well as Project 2010. We will proudly follow them through and know that Sandra will be watching over us from above.
Sandra, thank you for all the wonderful memories. We will all miss you immensely.
Sincerely,
Nancy Diaz, PMAC

Dear Family and Friends of Sandra,
I have always enjoyed chatting with Sandra at the conferences. I remember her as someone who was always kind and smiling. Many years ago, when my 20 year olds were babies, she was especially nice to all of us at a conference.
Sandra and I recently reminisced about this at a conference. She always made whoever she was with feel special. Sandra and all of her talents will be greatly missed. She was a special gift to the ASPMA.
Fondly,

With the death of Sandra Lohrentz, Podiatry has lost a gentle Giant. Her love for her profession and ASPMA, knew no bounds. She worked tirelessly in the background always letting others take the bows. But she fooled no one.We all knew where the strength and heart of our organization lie. She will be sorely missed by all of us who knew her, and served with her. Her legacy must and will carry forward. My prayers for your family dear friend and for all of us left behind who remember you with pride and love.
Fondly,

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Sandra Lorhrentz. Sandra played such an intricate part in ASPMA, for so long, its hard to imagine this organization without her.
I worked with Sandra on the board and know her for a very long time, although I did not know her as well as some, I do know she had a passion for podiatry and wanted so much to educate and make the podiatric assistant a true professional. She loved her family and to travel and she loved a good party.
Sandra was a woman of substance, kind and caring, who received much pleasure and satisfaction from her work and her life. I am very happy to have been even a small part of her life. I
know the board will continue the good work our founders have set forth. I pray for your strength and wisdom during this time of great loss.

Sandra will sadly be missed by many. The joys she brought to so many of us will be greatly missed. To the Board, you have a tall task in front of you. One I know you will be able to meet. God Speed Sandra!
