Lisa Crouch, PMAC shares some information about her lecture given at the Midwest Podiatry Conference, on how training helps Podiatric Medical Assistants be the most effective in assisting their doctors.

She discusses the importance for both front and back office assistants to work together to run a good schedule. She points out the need for common understanding of expectations between a medical assistant and their doctor. The need to set up a room according to the doctor’s need and desired setup.

The most importan skill needed is to be accurate and exact. Lisa touches on the extreme importance to have continual training in order to achieve a good schedule at the office. It is crucial to make the time to do in-office training. She encourages office manages to make the time for both Doctors and Manages to take the time to train their medical assistants.

Remember training is crucial to ensure the success of your practice.
